hair bow

This is what I do with my time waiting for Brooke- I made the three girls on kaitlyns T-ball team- hair bows. They are the cubs so I curled ribbon red, white and blue to match- in the oven and made pony tail holders for them. I am sure any man reading this is thinking why? It is a girl thing! I hope they like them-

Doctor Visit today

We are still waiting for our little Brooke to join us. No significant change the doctor said there really isn't much more my body can to accept go into labor as far as getting ready for the baby to be born. Good news and bad new scenario. Good for her getting bigger,stronger and bad for me because I am still pregnant and it is getting really close to ryans finals.

Ryan and I have a lot of good things happen to us on the 27th so maybe today will be the day. We were married on the 27th, kailtyn was born on the 27th and ryan got into dental school on the 27th. Lets just say one thing for sure she will not be born on may 27th so this is her shot.

Dr visit today 37 weeks

I had my 37th week check today. Nothing much new other than I continue to make progress. I am now at 3-4 cm dilated and 80% effaced- which means we are getting closure. Blood pressure is still great at 117/70.
She said that baby Brooke is very low in the pelvis and not to wait for the normal pattern of contraction because she would be coming fast and she would prefer me not to be on the highway delivering.

My doctor gave me my records today and said she was going to be around but she will not say much about going into labor- I actually prefer that because if she were to say it is going to happen soon then we would be very anxious. Ryan thinks tomorrow night would be good for him. He has a big presentation today and later next week- so it would work for his schedule.

Our cute little man

Often I feel really bad for caleb because he spends endless hours watching kaitlyn at her sports activities. He has actually met three nice little boys that he plays with at T-ball and soccer. Here is a photo of caleb from last weekend.

Spring T-ball season 2010

Kaitlyn is on the cubs Tball team this spring. Atlee little league- She has had only 1 games so far and she is doing really well- it is so fun to watch her.

Why is it that grown men always feel like they have something to prove- Here is Ryan doing a flip on the kids trampoline- I guess boys will always be boys- I felt embarrassed for him when he asked me to film it.

Ultrasound

Yesterday I had another ultrasound to check the size of Brooke because my doctor was concerned that she might be getting to large. She measured my stomach and said that she was measuring larger than her age- After a few hours of panic it was determined that Brooke is about 6 and 1/2 pounds with 4 weeks to go, so she is where she should be!

I don't think we will make it to full term but I am thinking more like an end of april baby- but it isnt my call right- It seems like babies get to make all the calls from the time the are conceived. Any bets on when she will be here? The kids want the end of April because the pool opens up in may and they want me ready to go to the pool as soon as it opens.

Petting farm animals

I took the kids last week to the petting spring farm animals at short pump outdoor mall. It was one of the days that was really hot last week but we enjoyed seeing all the baby animals. We got to pet a baby goat, bunnies, guinea pigs, chicks and alpaca.

April in VA

We have been playing outside and enjoying the nice spring weather. Eater sunday was very warm and the kids played outside- we celebrated the opening day of baseball and watched a little baseball. We had bratwurst, hot dogs, baked beans and Cracker jacks and sun flower seeds.The kids have now decided that the hotdogs were not as good as the sausages so they would like them from now on. Ryan has now taught both kids how to spit seeds in a cup- GROSS! During spring break for kaitlyn we have had three days over 90 and the kids have had a lot of time in the sprinkler. We love the warm weather- although I would rather not be 9 months pregnant when it is so hot out. Ryan is getting closure to finishing his 3rd year so he is really busy. I now spend my nights going to practices and games. This week we have something every night accept Wednesday night for kaitlyn and caleb. We just love watching her play and grow. Caleb has also made some really good boy friends at both soccer and Tball. Brothers of the other players. We hope everything is going well for all of you!

Hot April

I know that it seems like we have had a extreme weather for most of the winter with lots of snow but the extreme weather continues in the spring. we have 80's the last week and yesterday we were in the 90's. This is what the next few days- we have spent most of our days in the sprinkler. Last night I could not sleep because it was so hot in the house- even with AC and then we had thunder in the early morning. So glad I will not be pregnant in the hot humid summer here.

My two kids
