34 weeks

Today we made 34 weeks- My doctor was so excited- She said everything is great so as for now she cancelled my weekly appointment next week so if all goes well I wont have to see her for 2 weeks. She also said that she felt Brooke was well over 5 pounds- at this point we are over 2 weeks past when Caleb was born! YEAH for Brooke!

New swing- Ryan hung up calebs new swing in the tree in our backyard-Caleb loves it!

1st market mile race

Kaitlyn ran in her first race on Saturday. She did so well- it was a 1 mile run for kids. Ryan was going to run in the monument ave 10k but has been really sick so he said he would tough out a mile to run with Kaitlyn. She only stopped once when Ryan stepped on her shoe and took it off. They both blame each other. It was really cold 33 degrees out and she was not very excited about doing it so we will see if she is brave enough to do another one. As for now we will stick to soccer, T-ball and gymnastics.

Calebs 3rd birthday party

We had so much fun today! Caleb had his 3rd birthday party with his friends and playgroup. We had a sensory tank full of cedar shavings and find a bolt with there name on it- a coloring station with dunk trucks and bulldozer pages to color, a building station with all sorts of tools, decorate your own construction hat and a place set up to build legos and play with construction cars on the play rug!

spring sports

We have entered the world of spring sports- Kaitlyn is now playing on atlee little league- she has 2 practices a week from now until mid april and then two games a week through the end of may. She has soccer practice 2 days a week and games on sunday afternoons. Caleb is also doing gymnastics on fridays from 330-430 and I decided to let kaitlyn do it as well. He best friend aiden was doing it and I just didnt have the heart to say she had to sit and watch aiden, Ivy and caleb do gymnastics. So everyone that has send money for birthdays and holidays- THANK YOU!!!My kids are loving their gift!

Happy 3rd birthday caleb

we had our little family celebration with caleb last night- we actually did presents after kaitlyn got home so that the kids could play with his new Nerf swords, frisby and new sky ball. He wanted chococolate cupcakes and oreo ice cream- We had a great day minus the trip to the doctor with an ear infection- Kaitlyn had her last dose of her antibotic yesterday and now caleb is on one for 10 days.

31 weeks 5 days

Weird to think three years ago today that Kaitlyn, Ryan me and my parents and Chrisie were on a plane at 5 pm headed for a fun weekend at Disneyland. Today is the day that Caleb decided to join our family 3 years ago- although his birthday is Tuesday today is a reminder of the early arrival of Caleb because Brooke is due the same day as Caleb. May 12th. Everyday past today is one day closer to having her come home! Our little man will be 3 this week- Wow the days do move slow but the years do move fast.

H1N1 visitation restrictions lifted

I am so excited the hospitals here in Richmond have lifted the H1N1 visitation restrictions. Starting last October there was no one under the age of 18 allowed to visit anyone in the hospital. I am so glad that my kids will be able to come and see me and Brooke in the hospital (hopefully not until at least the end of april). I wanted very badly for them to be apart of this event in our lives and I am so excited that they will now be able to.

Whats new today-

Our ice maker in our freezer broke three days ago- It didn't just stop making ice but it continued to spill water over inside the freezer and cause huge icicles all over. We moved everything to a cooler to try to fix it last night but we know nothing about it so we have come to the conclusion that we will not have a ice machine and I am going to the store to buy ice cube trays-
Kaitlyn school nurse called today and said Kaitlyn has an ear infection so we are off to the doctor again today- So not fun- I feel so bad for kaitlyn but I am getting very tired of sick kids-

Caleb has a baby in his tummy

Sometimes caleb just does something that makes me laugh out loud. He started putting kaitlyns dolls under his shirt and saying he has a baby in his tummy. Friday night he was walking around and the baby fell out on the floor and then he said Oh no my baby is born. "If it was only that easy."

Calebs 3rd birthday party invite

Caleb loves construction trucks and tractors. For his 3rd birthday we are going with a construction theme. Here is a photo of his invite- we wish our family was here to celebrate- He is getting so big! His playgroup is going to decorate hard hats and tool belts.

Highlights in calebs speech-

The past few weeks Caleb has discovered how to be mean by simply by using words-

I quote Caleb- "Mommy I do not like you" all because I would let him play out in the front yard by himself.

He told Ryan last night "I am mad at you" after Ryan wanted him to try a peach at dinner.

He said sissy is so mean to me and I don't want her to talk to me.

100th day of school

for kaitlyns 100th day of school we had to create a project and count something to 100- we counted coffee beans and made a coffee cup out of an old oatmeal container- it was very cute. Durring the 100th day they made a lot of things do with the number 100- kaitlyn wrote in her 100th day book that she would eat 100 fish! My kids love fish- where did they get that from???
She also made papa a book about fishing- it was so cute. We must remember she is 5 and has been fishing only a hand full of times.

Big sibling shirts

I had this wonderful idea for the kids to make big brother and big sister shirts to wear when Brooke comes home. Lets just say I have very artistic kids and I will be trying to find ones to buy. Calebs took 2 days to dry- What was I thinking? They also made a onesi for Brooke but it is so stiff fromt he amount of paint on it-we might just use it once for a picture.

Big Brother and Big Sister

As the amount of time ticks down before Brooke is here the kids are getting so excited to be a big brother and big sister. Every night before bed they talk to Brooke as if she were already here- Caleb gives her a kiss, a pound and a high five every night just like he does with Ryan, Kaitlyn and I. It is very hard to believe that Caleb was born two weeks from now- Both Brooke and Caleb had the same due date.
