I have decided that kids need to know that things do not come from a can. Although it is easy I think it is important for kids to see where things come from other than the store and a can. I bought a can and opended it to show the kids. We went to the patch and all kaitlyn would talk about it pumpkin bread. So I went to the store bought 2 sugar baking pumpkins- roasted them and pureed them and then made pumpkin bread- it was a lot of fun and we all learned about pumpkins. We also roasted the seeds- which the kids loved.

It's so fun to involve the kids in all your cooking! I'm starting to be able to have Lucas help. He sat and decorated cookies with me the other day for like 20 minutes.
