Brooke Being happy

It is a rare occasion when Brooke will smile for the camera- Fun- Also this is the only posotion she is happy in with Ryan. Good thing he is gone for the weeks and not me or it would be really hard. She is still a mommy's girl.

Matching swim suits

Look at my two girls in their matching swim suits. So cute! Brooke has been in the pool almost every day for 2 weeks- she really likes it.

Swim meet number 2

kaitlyn did so good last night! She won both of her heats! She was so excited to get the blue ribbon as soon as she exited the pool- It was so fun to watch her! She has really found her knitch! She improved from 45 secs to 34 sec in the freestroke and she has now has a time in the backstroke so we are looking forward to watching her grown in the next week, because it is so hot out and ryan gone we are going to the pool this evening- I went earlier to swim laps and the pool water was already 88 degrees. Kaitlyn is going to be taught how to dive off the starting block on saturday so hopefully she will get a chance to improve her time in the free- she placed 7th overall- against girls that are 8 and under- I think there was something like 50 plus kids- Good for Kaitlyn!

HEAT

We under a heat advisory today- Crazy for her because it is aways hot- but this is really hot- Todays record is 100- it has been a record for 77 years. We are set to break it today. CRAZY- Good thing we have a pool and AC to take the edge off. Anybody that knows anything about AC know that a unit can only cool about 20 degrees cooler than it is outside. Lets hope it doesn't stay over 100 for to long- funny though when the house gets to around 75 inside it still feels cool com paired to outside. The kids are outside looking for Sadies dog tags in the yard it is 815 and I have already applied the first coat of sunscreen and there faces are bring red-

Brooke at 5 weeks

Here is kaitlyn and Brooke in there matching PJs so cute and Brooke on the table at kaitlyns swim meet- she is difently settling into a little pattern of awake time and sleep time. She continues to be really fussy at night and will not stay with ryan- i went to a dance class last night for 1 hour and it wasnt good. Kaitlyn asked ryan why does brooke always cry so loud when you hold her daddy? Poor ryan and poor me. We went to the doctor last week and she is 75% for weight, height and head circumference. Yeah for her!

First Swim meet

What a event! Friday night from 430 until 9Kaitlyn swam in the the 25 meter back stroke and crawl stroke and the 50 free stroke- we are so proud of her! From 430 to 930 and it was hot out.

Happy Fathers day

Being a parent has made a complete mess of our formerly organized life.... And you know what? I couldn't be happier.Every toy on the floor, every tiny sock in the laundry is proof that a family lives here... And I wouldn't want it any other way.

Schools out

At 12:45 today my little girl will get off the bus for her last day at kindergarten. Goodness I am tearing up already- how can it be? It didn't bother me to send her but the thought that this time in her life is over is very sad to me. Let the summer begin here! We are off to Amanda, Aiden and Ivy's today for ice cream sandwiches and water fun. Then Kaitlyn has her first swim meet tonight. I will post pictures asap. Ryan has the camera for his rotation- we are glad he is coming home tonight!

Kings Charter Swim team

Kaitlyn had her first mock swim meet last week. Her first swim meet is on friday! Wish her luck! Wish you were here to watch her- She has found something she loves and is great at.

blueberry picking

we got up early today and went blueberry picking to avoid the 96 degree heat day. we had fun and Brooke enjoyed a nap in her car seat. I made blueberry muffins and the kids wanted blueberry pancakes for dinner. It truly is the simple things in life that make being a kid so much fun.....like breakfast for dinner with blueberries we picked in that day. Life is good.

Field day at Cool springs

Kaitlyn had her field day at school on thursday. My oh my it was hot! I think it was around 95. The kids had a great time- even caleb got in on the action!

My pumpkin pie is 1 month old today

Our baby girl is 1 month old today. Happy Birthday little one.

first tomatoes

Why is it that kids will eat tomatoes right off the plant but not on a sandwich?? They love to go out to the plant on the front porch and pick the tomatoes and eat them!

Sick in bed

Here is ryan in bed after they both got the stomach bug- I put all sick people in quarantine in our room. For those of you that don't know we were hit with the 8 hour stomach bug early last week. First kaitlyn- then ryan and then caleb. Lucky Brooke and I did not get it however- Thank goodness for a carpet cleaner and ryan learned never give a kid red Gatorade when they have the flu!

First Bath

here is Brookes first real bath- She had to wait a much longer time than the other kidos because her umbilical cord was didnt fall off until 18 days after she was born.
