Fruit salad

Kaitlyn just loves a good fruit salad. She got a new knife from pampered chef. She loves to cook- just like her mom. Caleb is my little chef as well.

It was a great to see all of our family and friends. one of the first days we were there the kids got to open there presents from their Nanny and Papa.

Our night out

Ryan and I and our two really good friends Steve and Brandi went out on the spirit of Norfolk dinner cruise for Brandi's birthday. We had a great time it was nice to get away and dream about what the future may hold for us. Steve is also a 2nd year dental school. We also had the kids have an over night baby sitter for the first time. Everything worked out great.

What every little 1 year old needs

Merry Christmas- we know it isnt the same without our family here but this is as good as it gets- besides webcame 3000 miles away. we hope that santa was good to you all. Kaitlyn got a new art studio and caleb got a wheel barrow and a fire truck. We have had a great morning and I have relized that kids do not care about clothes and I spent a lot time wrapping them and they get tossed a side- Kaitlyn is working at her art studio and caleb is driving cars over his new books.

Christmas tea

Kaitlyn and I went to a Girls afternoon tea. Kaitlyn and I had a great time. We had tea and lots of treats. We got all dresses up and enjoy the holiday season together. I was so impressed with kaitlyns manners and behavior. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful daughter.

Caleb at dinner the other night

You just need to watch and laugh at this one. kids and dinner- no matter what you make they wont like it. They need grandparents around to let them eat whatever they want. By the way after 20 minutes we gave up.

Our family in VA

We had dinner at Steve and Brandis home the other night. We took a lot of photos of the girls. We are so lucky to have them in our lives here. I found these skirts out the williamsburg outlets the other day and thought they would be so cute on the girls.

Our Christmas tree

Here is our tree. It is a very pretty tree and we have lost three ortaments due kid abuse. Looks like there might be room to buy a few more next year.

Ryans holiday treat

Ryan has been bugging me to make Biscotti so he could enjoy a cup of espresso and a biscotti on break. I do agree that the homemade biscotti is a ton better than I have had before. Ryan took a photo of them both today.

Santa on a Fire truck

So every year here Santa comes to the neighborhood on a fire engine- it was so fun to see all the kids in the neighborhood scream for santa. Kaitlyn says she is so excited to see the real santa right by her house. Kids are fun. Kaitlyns double ear infection is better- she went to school today and looks like she is feeling a lot better. This is a priceless time when the thought of SANTA is so exciting for one and so scarey for the other one. We have two years of kailtyn screaming and this is calebs first. Merry christmas!

Salon day

Kaitlyn, Lynda and I went and had our toes done- we had such a great time and it was a wonderful time for us girls. Lynda had a chocolate scented pediture and I had a rosemary mint. Kaitlyn got christmas trees on her big toe. How much fun!

Ryan wanted me to make carmel so here is our new candy thermometer and kaitlyn taking photos of me. It turned out great!

Arent these photos to cute- he loves these ear things- he has been wearing the bunny ears aunt beka sent kaitlyn for easter. He will wear them for hours at a time. Can you believe it he is actually happy for once.

Happy Thanksgiving 2008

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had good food and great friends what more could people ask for- We did miss our family and we hope they had a great Thanksgiving!

Tuesday night crafts

Kaitlyn loves crafts so we decided we needed a little break from out everyday nightly routine. We had dinner and then made some Christmas ortaments. Caleb gets so mad when he cant do things just his way- he sat on the carpet and before we caught him he drew on the carpet with a green marker. Little boys are so different than little girls.

New sensory tanks stuff

Last year I put rice in the tank- it was a mess so I thought we would try cotton balls and feathers- so far it is worse because it floats all over the house- but the kids love it so what do you do?

Mcdonalds half marathon

So I have been training for months for this race. I did it!!! It was a hot and humid November day it was 77 and very humid. I had a cold and had not been feeling well but I was going to run regardless. My goal was to finish in under 2 hours and 10 min. I would have liked 2 hours and 5 min but I got 2 hours and 8 minutes so I am ok with that. I got a huge blister under my left toe nail. Ryan had to heat up a paper clip to drain it out the blood under the nail. Looks like I will be loosing it. It hurt extremly bad and now that it has been drained it doesnt hurt as bad! I wish my family and seattle friends could have seen it the race! Thanks to the Ryan the kids and the Lewis family for coming to cheer me on I needed it!

Friday night family pasta night 3

We made homemade pasta again tonight. kaitlyns job was the photographer so most of the photos were taken by her. We used our new ravioli. We saute portabella mushrooms and stuffed them with mushrooms and ricotta cheese and assiago cheese. They were wonderful and we had a great family night dinner. Caleb loves to salute- check out the photo of him and ryan.
