Wow 32 years old

The kids and I made ryan a pineapple upside down cake,one of his favorites and then he opened his gift from the kids- they got him and outdoor game. The kids have played with it alot!

Bird house

Ryan and Kaitlyn decided to make a bird house. It was going to be one of those 2 hour projects that has now turned into a two day project but it sure looks great!

Lefse

Because we didnt get a chance to make it for Christmas I thought I would make it with the kids this summer. We had a great time and it turned out great!

July 4th 2009

We had a busy day. Our wonderful neighbor Amy took our kids to the kings charter 4th of july parade. They decorated there bikes and the wagon. Then they went to the petting farm and jumping toy at the club house pool- Ryan, Myself and Doug went for a bike ride. Then we went to Patty and Chris's house for a great cook out and then back to our house for a few fireworks and catching fireflys. We sure missed our family and wish we were there to celebrate the holiday with them.

Brother and sister love

So no matter how much they get on each others nerves they truely love each other and are each others best friends. It is so nice to have them get along even if it is short lived and someday they will hate each other like most siblings do.

Train Table

We decided to spend some christmas money on a used train table for caleb. A lady in the moms group sold theres.The kids are having so much fun with it. It is really the first boy toy that we have bought and boy let me tell you he is a boy. He makes all sorts of crazy sounds with the trains. The table will go up in his room because they are way to loud with it down stairs.

VA Beach with the LEWIS family

last Saturday we drove down to sandbridge beach which is near the main VA beach area but less crowded. It was a perfect day. We played from noon until 5ish. Ryan and Steve spent most of the day playing in the surf. Brandi and I choose to stay out of the water. We got to see dolphins and these super fast crabs. The girls had a great time together and caleb was great digging in the sand most of the day. WE all had a great day and it is so nice to have friends here in VA.

Kaitlyns T-ball camp

Kaitlyn has now decided she loves T-ball- Finally. Have months of trying to make her go outside and play catch she is bugging me!!! We are going to practice fielding according to her today.

Marathon

Its offical I have signed up and paid for the richmond marathon on Novemeber 14th- Call me CRAZY I know but part of me is thinking if I dont do it this year I will not do it- the other part of me is thinking of my sister-in-law and how hard she is working to simply walk that I need to push myself and work as hard as she is. I will be thinking of her every mile I train in the next 24 weeks of training, esp. in the richmond heat! http://www.richmondmarathon.com/

Our Fun adventure to BATH CO VA

Ryan and I did a triathlon this weekend together. It was great- well at the time didnt seem so great but now that is over it seems great. Unfortunely because we both did it we do not have that many pictures. We did get really lucky and got to stay at the famous Homestead Hotel built in 1766. We priced it out before we left at it was over 400 a night- wow we called the night of and got a room for $150 which was more than we had planned to spend but it was about 1 1/2 hours closure to the race and wow it was really neat to stay there. Ryans class mates did the race as well and they took group photos and when we get them I will post them. caleb gets into trouble again

So last week one of kaitlyns jobs was to put the DVDs away in there cases. There was a pile of about 15 of them. I was making dinner some 15 feet away and kaitlyn comes running to say we have a major problem. Caleb put all the dvd's in and under all the cracks of the TV stand and under the DVD player to jam it. It tooks us about 15 min to undo what he did in 1 min. Kaitlyn also lost a few of her movies because they are so scratched.

Day trip to WA DC

We had not ventured up to the DC other than the zoo about a year ago- We had a great time. We went to the air and space musuem and natural history musuem. Both kaitlyn and I loved looking at all the gems and jelwery. Wow the Hope diamond is huge. He got to see the captial, the monument and the reflection pool. The weather was great as well. The only thing that was bad was the 3 hour stop and go traffic on the way home!

Our Last Friday night

We had so much fun- we had a sleep over with some of our special friends! They played all night and watched tinkerbell the movie- they all had parts and even made caleb into a part of the movie-

Swimming

It is so hard to get photos at the pools because I am always in the pool with the kids. Today we got in the pool at 1030 am and left at 130 for nap time. Both kids are so tired! It is now 4pm and they are both still sleeping!So the moral of the story is if you need your kids to take a nap and get some time by yourself to clean the house and workout-take them to a pool!! They both asked me to go back later today- I think might as well- it is free- good for them and they love it! Caleb is now starting to hold his breathe and swim under water. I will have two swimmers by the end of the summer.I

Strawberry picking

I was able to take kaitlyn strawberry picking with our neighbors yesterday. We had so much fun. The berries were not the best but they were pretty good tasting in our strawberry waffles for dinner.

Preschool graduation

Kaitlyn had her big day last friday. They sang songs and completed the sign language for them as well. Kaitlyn did wonderful. They left the stage and then returned when their name was called to get there certificates. Kaitlyn was the only one in the entire class that would not wear her hat. She was worried about it making her hair look bad. The good times are starting with her and she isnt even 5 yet. The kids in the photo are kaitlyns really good friends,Liam, Aiden and Marin.

Visit with the new babies

It is so much fun being and aunt and uncle for the first time. We are so lucky to have two healthy little additions to our family. They are beautiful and I cant wait to watch them grow!

Alaska cruise

We had an amazing time on our 7 day cruise to Alaska. We got to see and do a lot of fun things both on the ship and at the ports of call. We got to see Skagway, Junea,ketchikan and victoria. We had great weather and it was simple a trip of a life time.

M's Game

We got to go to the M's game with our entire family. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time! They won which made it an even better day! colby, Mike and Lucus we missed you but we will go again when Lucus gets old enough to move around all game like caleb.

Making Sunday morning breakfast

The kids helped ryan make breakfast on sunday. From the looks of this photo kaitlyn doesn't think it smells to great. Another topic of conversation that day was that the sausage we were eating came from a turkey ryan got appalled at the thought that our kids thought sausage came from turkey and not pigs.

Priceless and clueless

Calebs pants kept falling down after they got wet on monday. Isnt this just a great photo. I cant wait to show him in 10 years from now. I just love him.
